Interesting stuff on PeerTube

If you have subscribed to this newsletter, you are already aware that PeerTube is an interesting place to find interesting stuff. However, as a decentralized network, we are not the only place to seek and find videos, channels, platforms where you can find attractive content. For instance (haha), you can learn why everyone hate this neighbourhood, or how floppy disks work.

PeerTube recognized as digital public good

We’re thrilled to announce that the Digital Public Goods Alliance (DGPA) has recognized PeerTube software as a public good!

The DGPA reviews and promotes digital goods that help build an equitable and inclusive world.

We’re grateful to the DGPA for recognizing PeerTube and hope this encourage more institutions to learn about PeerTube and trust it as their video platform.

PeerTube 7.3 went out

Last month, we released PeerTube v7.3.

This update improved the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) of the admin interface. Navigating between panels is now easier!

Also, a configuration wizard is now available during installation to help you pre-configure PeerTube with different profiles.

Thanks to the contribution of bojidar-bg, you can now schedule your live streams. This is the perfect feature for announcing your event before you go live.

Dear PeerTube admins,

To improve your platform’s discovery and attractiveness, please, fill out your platform’s description and add a banner. It’s also important to add proper tags related to the subject of your platform and indicate whether your platform displays sensitive content.

These details are displayed on the platform search engine as you can see here and also on the PeerTube app!

Providing accurate information is helpful for people discovering PeerTube and looking for a platform that meet their needs.
